It Begins with Before

We decided to move into the house during the planning phase of the renovation to see what "worked" and what didn't from a functional living perspective.  We then began assembling our team.  It was a no brainer as to who would be our project manager, Tim's brother Sean is in the residential construction business.  After doing a little research, we found our architect, Michael Dunlap. Michael had studied under Robert Broward.  We went with Troy Spurlin Interiors to handle the interior design work.   As for the kitchen design, we chose to work with John Colter from Poggenpohl.  We also added Faulkner Bell with Bell Outdoor, LLC from St. Simons Island, GA.  The reason that we chose Bell Outdoor is about family connections. My sister, Terri had worked with Faulkner before he founded his own company and was impressed with his vision and design.

Planning

We immediately discovered that the main level deck would be our primary "hang-out" spot. The breeze coming from the ocean and the sound of the waves set the stage for relaxation and fellowship.
